A basic pancake recipe perfect for your Father’s Day breakfast or brunch! Light and fluffy, these pancakes are super easy and quick to make with basic ingredients! This is your go to guide on how to make the perfect pancakes!
So Father’s Day is just around the corner and we’re all looking for ways to spoil our Dads this year! And what better way to show Dad how much you care than over a big stack of fluffy pancakes that are positively dripping with maple syrup?!
Well if you agree, I might just have the perfect recipe for you! This is my go to basic pancake mix that uses everyday ingredients that most people would usually always have on hand. And the best thing about making these pancakes for Father’s Day is that they are so easy! They only take about five minutes of prep time and they’re sure to be a hit on any breakfast (or brunch!) table.
I usually like to serve my pancakes with fresh fruit, but I also highly recommend serving with a few rashers of bacon on top, as my Dad prefers. Yes, bacon. I know it may sound crazy to some, but please don’t knock it until you try it – bacon is unbelievable good with maple syrup.
HOW TO MAKE PANCAKES
As I mentioned above, pancakes are pretty foolproof to make. All you have to do is add all the dry ingredients to a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Then pour the wet ingredients into the well and whisk until you have the perfect batter!
Now grab yourself a spoon and scoop some of the mixture (about 1/4 cup) into a lightly oiled frying pan! Once little bubbles have formed on the batter it’s time to flip!
