Love is in the air! It’s February and that means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so if you’re still looking for that perfect romantic treat to surprise that special someone, then look no further than my easy last-minute Strawberries & Chocolate Ganache! Whether it’s for him or for her, this chocolatey recipe is sure to win you some brownie points!
It’s such a great little dessert to share with your partner and is very sweet and romantic! I mean, whether you cuddle up on the couch (NOT a white couch 😬) with the ganache between you or you take turns feeding each other bites of strawberries it’s just lovely!
Not to mention that strawberries and chocolate is like the ultimate sweet combo – and if we’re going to be honest, if you can’t have chocolate on Valentine’s Day then when can you have it?!
As for actually making the ganache, it is a very simple process. All you need to do is place the broken up chocolate (it doesn’t have to be broken up too fine) and the cream into a large heatproof bowl over a boiling pot of water and stir occasionally until it’s all melted and combined. And yes that’s right, this recipe only has three ingredients including the strawberries!
The leftover ganache can easily be stored in the fridge for up to a week in a closed container. It will harden quite a bit but it’ll still be delicious and anyway, how much leftovers are we really going to have?!
I think strawberries are the perfect thing to dip into the ganache, for both Valentine’s Day and just in general but you can use whatever you like! Marshmallows, cut up bananas, pretzels – there are lots of things you could use. A great idea is to thread a few pieces of different cut up fruits on a skewer – a fruit kebab – and use that as a dipper! But you know, if in doubt use strawberries. 🙂 ❤️ oh and by the way, did I mention you could use the ganache as icing for a cake?! Because you so can…..and it’s delicious.

Strawberries & Chocolate Ganache - an Easy 3 Ingredient Valentine's Day Dessert
Ingredients300g good quality baking chocolate
150ml heavy cream
- Roughly chop chocolate and place it in a large heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water. Add cream.
- Stir the cream and chocolate often until melted and well combined. Remove from heat.
- Let cool for 10-15 mins in the fridge and pour into a serving bowl. Serve with Strawberries.
