These juicy, sticky honey orange chicken drumsticks are going to be a real winner at dinner time! Using skin-on chicken legs for extra flavour, this is a great budget meal with a delicious flavour!
I love chicken. Not only is it an incredibly cheap meat, but it is also extremely versatile! From Greek Chicken Skewers to Chicken Pot Pies, it is a regular in our house. And this week chicken drumsticks took centre stage.
Now, there are so many things you can do with the humble chicken leg, but it really is hard to beat a nice baked, sticky chicken leg…and that’s exactly what these Sticky Honey Orange Chicken Drumsticks are!
Making Chicken Drumsticks
To make an amazing sticky drumstick recipe, you’ll need a good marinade. And this marinade is really easy to prepare!
Step 1. Making the marinade. Place soy sauce, honey, orange juice, ginger and garlic in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
Step 2. Marinading the chicken. Add chicken legs to bowl and toss to coat. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 3. Cook the chicken. Bake for 45-50 minutes, turning halfway through.
That’s basically it.
Can I use this Marinade for other Cuts of Chicken?
Yes, you definitely can! This marinade will work on any cut of chicken; including thighs, wings, breasts or even skewers!
Serving the Chicken
Personally, I like eating chicken legs just by themselves – either as a meal or as an appetiser at a party – but you can definitely serve these drumsticks with sides. Here are some ideas….
