Crunchy, salty and easy homemade baked tortilla chips are perfect to snack on with salsa or guacamole! With only four ingredients, these cheats tortilla chips only take 15 minutes to make!
Alright, so we all agree that snacking is a necessity, right?! And when it comes to snacks, chips and dip have got to be a favourite! Well, today I’m going to show you a little hack to turn some leftover tortillas into crispy, salty and delicious tortilla chips that are so perfect with my Fresh Tomato Salsa!!
And the best thing about these chips is that they only have four ingredients, including salt and pepper! That’s right. Four. Another thing I love to serve them with is my Chilli Con Carne. Now that’s a match made in heaven!
Making the Tortilla Chips
To make the tortilla chips all you have to do is drizzle the tortillas with oil, rub it on both sides and season with salt and pepper before cutting into triangles and baking! It’s that simple.
‘Cheats’ Tortilla Chips
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp oil
- 2 large flour tortillas
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
- Drizzle oil over tortillas, rubbing over both sides. Season each side with salt and papper and cut both tortillas into 16 triangles.
- Spread out on baking tray and bake for 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.
