Butterscotch Sauce with Banana & Ice Cream

Ingredients
  

For the Butterscotch
  • 90 g butter
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup caster sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • cup cream
To Serve
  • 8 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 4 bananas sliced

Method
 

  1. Combine butter, sugars and water in a saucepan over medium-high heat and cook until butter has melted and sugar has dissolved.
  2. Bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, without lid for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the bubbles to subside. Stir in cream and serve with ice cream and bananas.
